If you’ve found my work, you’re probably feeling like it’s time to make some changes in your relationship with food. Maybe you’re a chronic dieter who is ready to leave dieting behind for good, or maybe you’re struggling with binge eating and don’t know how to stop. Maybe you’re tired of feeling out of control around food, or you’re frustrated with all the diet programs out there making all sorts of rules about what you can or can’t eat. Wherever you are in your relationship with food, individual coaching with me can help you get where you want to be.
Some of the topics, issues and concerns that I most often work on with clients in individual coaching include:
-The 10 principles of Intuitive Eating, including specific evidence-based skills to help clients integrate these into their daily lives
-Why dieting is harmful to ourselves as individuals and to society as a whole
-Body acceptance, including learning to live in our bodies without making efforts to change them
-Coping with anti fat bias in healthcare, the workplace, or interpersonal relationships
-Boundary setting and communication strategies to stop diet talk and body talk from other people
-Learning to recognize emotions and cope with them using evidence-based skills
-Overcoming eating challenges including a restricted diet, binge eating, or feeling out of control around food
-Reconnecting with hunger and fullness cues
-Reimagining a relationship with movement
-Identifying and changing unhelpful beliefs about food and body

-Have tried and been unsuccessful at quitting dieting in the past
